  one of the things i hate most about this corporate religion is they have a money box for many things that "bring praise to jah".

  Mrs ducky, very good point. i know many that are using welfare, subsidized healthcare and housing. i was talking to my wife today about why jw's will not celebrate worldly holidays, birthdays letting the kids miss out on the fun and do not even give them aspecial day or two letting them have a few parties and let them dress in costume and give them wrapped presents. she said its because they are cheap!

  so the jw scoffs at the poor, and neglects thier childrens happiness at the encouragment of a few narrow minded selfrighteous men. they should be ashamed to call themselves christian, oh thats right they prefer the title witness.

  i would also like to thank all the apostates and thier youtube videos some are trash but some especially watchtowercomments are true eyeopeners. also this site and freeminds are invaluable to mentally connecting the dots when you finally awaken but are too scared or angry to make sense of it all.

  overseer expenses

  local hall, all of this $ ends up in brooklyn without anyone knowing how much goes where all for gods supposed glory

  but i can see no greater display of kindness than to give of your time/resources to another who is in need. why doesn't that anger any jw's?

  i remember getting up around that time 30 years ago .

  JW's attempt to sabotage a funeral was foiled (for now)

  i had to share this sad experience... even if it's not in my top priority list.. my older brother from my mom's first marriage unfortunately passed away last night.

  he had been struggling with health issues, the last few years.

  this is a very sad time in the family as you can imagine, specially because my mother lost her youngest son just five years ago.

  trolling for converts at a funeral is truly disgusting. my uncle died last summer killed in a motorcycle accident. they had a very touching service at the church he was a marine and was given miltary honors. as i was heading to my car i noticed my father giving his cousin a bible teach book! WTF, he was handing out his creepy bible literiture at his brothers funeral! i wanted to crawl under my car

  June 15th WT - WT Society Pressures JW Parents to Indoctrinate Children

  in a non-study article in the jw only watchtower is an article titled " should youths get baptized ?

  " the wt society is losing young people in very large numbers - so how else to try stemming the exodus than putting pressure on jw parents to indoctrinate and instill mind control into their children ?

  in one section here in this article it almost sounds like a version of " 20 questions " that the wt society asks parents to determine if their children are making " spiritual progress " as they phrase it.

  Commenting on youths who qualify for baptism but whose parents do not agree , an experienced elder said, " Preventing a young one from getting baptized can break his spiritual momentum and lead to discouragement. "

  i stopped my son from getting dunked a year ago he was only doing it for a girl and a few jw friends. i had to speak to several of the elders going over the questions with him. since then one elder who is related to us is shunning me, and the elders have asked several times to meet with me. i refuse polietly and that is working for now. they are getting more persistant lately

  ours might have spent 10 minutes on the sacrifice of jesus.

  he must have spent 15 minutes on how we have almost no hope of being chosen and gave the same stats other threads are mentioning 18 mil 11k eating blah, blah.

  i am thinking they are in damage control with the increasing numbers of partakers.

  what a difference when you attend your first memorial "awake". sorry just a rant

  when i was a single jw, well, lets say around about my early 20ies, i used to to let my mind flow a bit during the kh meetings.. welll, anyway, i used to observe some of the "older" sisters around their late 30ies or 40ies in their stockings and high heels.

  it really turned me on, i must admit.

  i couldn t concentrate much of the programme due to this.

  i think you need to get laid.

  i found it hard to pay attention at one hall i went to except it was the 20something sisters who had my mind wandering.i loved summer, some of them wore tight dresses and low tops i was an attendant in the back and there was always someone strutting around. i miss that hall

  i went to a sunday meeting recently (for family reasons).

  it was the first meeting i'd attended in a few years.

  i couldn't help but notice how utterly soulless it was.

  college, money, internet, worldly people, sex, music, recreation,sports,blood transfusions, critical thinking are all evil.

  listen to the faithfull slave or die. work harder in field service, do more, study more, give more you worthless drone.

  No way man, the meetings are upbuilding, what are you talking about?
